My name is Nicole Zwibel, and I’m the owner and lead reading teacher at Children’s Reading World in Wellington, Florida. I work with children ages 2 through 5th grade helping them build strong reading skills, confidence, and a true love for reading!
Long before I opened Children's Reading World, I was a young girl helping out in my mom's learning center in New York. My mother (Valerie Kitaeff), created the original Children's Reading World Method- a phonics program used in our Learning Center for over 30 years. This repetitive, step-by-step, "proven" system laid the foundation for countless successful readers and will continue to do so in the years to come..
Today, in my own learning lounge I, carry the same heart and passion my mother did, I've just made it better. I blended my mother's original system with today's modern tools and techniques- including the Interactive Metronome (IM) a brain- training program used to support focus, timing, and attention.
The core of my program is patient, nurturing, and step-by-step. Through repetition, practice, and clear routines children learn to understand phonics as a whole. Our approach is fun, positive, encouraging and tailored to each child's individual needs.
Our purpose is simple: to help every child move forward with ease, confidence and independence. While some students come to get ahead, others need support to stay on level. Many children come to us having ADHD, processing differences and focus challenges. We use structure, movement, and tools like the Interactive Metronome brain training to help them stay engaged and succeed.
At the Children's Reading World our mission is to help children feel capable, smart, and proud every step of the way- together let's make reading something your child loves to do, not has to do.

ADHD & Me- Interactive Metronome
Many kids with ADHD or processing challenges are very smart, but sitting still, focusing and reading can feel like a huge challenge. At Children's Reading World, we combine our gentle, repetitive, step-by-step phonics program with the Interactive Metronome- a fun, game-like, brain training tool. Together, they help your child:
-Pay attention and stay on task longer
-Read more smoothly so they understand what they are reading
-Think more clearly and stay calmer
-Feel confident and proud of themselves
-Enjoy learning with support in both the brain and reading
Pre-K & Kindergarten Reading Groups
Our "Little Learners" Groups are small, fun reading classes where children learn together. Each class begins with a story time where we talk about the characters, feelings, and what happens in the book. This not only builds communication and emotional skills but fosters the early stages of comprehension and understanding. From there, we practice age-appropriate skills- letters and sounds, sight words, or early reading- through hands-on games, worksheets, crafts and artistic expression. Towards the end of the class, I invite parents in to show them simple, proactive ways to support learning at home. Whether your child is in school or homeschool, these groups build strong reading foundations and a warm, loving, social community.
Why it works......
The Children’s Reading World phonics program has been used for over 30 years in our family owned Learning Center. This unique, step-by-step, phonics method is a quick, systematic, easy way for children to learn phonics rules without having to memorize hundreds of sight words. With consistent practice, we’ve seen hundreds of children—both struggling and those seeking enrichment—gain fluency, confidence and independence. Our program helps to:
